Help setting up remote
#1
Hi,

I am still new to XBMC so have little knowledge about it. My brother has just set up XBMC live 10.1 on a Asrock ion 330 for me. There is no other operating system on the Asrock so when I switch it on it goes straight into xbmc and all seems to work really well.

The asrock does not have a built in IR but I want to add a remote to the system. I have a Asrock remote control and IR receiver which came with the Asrock vision 3D and I thought that by plugging the IR receiver into the unit it would allow me to use the remote but this isn't the case.

Any ideas on what I am doing wrong?

As always any help is appreciated.

I dont think your IR receiver will work , but do a lsusb and check what the device displays.
There might be a driver for it.

Please post the lsusb and lspci for your mother board.
