I want translate it to portuguese? How can I do it?

Please use this file as reference. It's the most up-to-date English file.

Hey Big_Noid,

Noticed a few typo's and a few words that needed better/proper translation. Eek

Here is a new string file:

Here is Russian translation for the latest Aeon-Nox skin:
http://dl.dropbox.com/u/24356082/AEON-NOX_RU_final.zip
Currently the translation is only compatible with "Arial based" fonts because the default font set does not fully support Cyrillic characters.

If you want to use other font sets, you should do the following workaround:
- Copy the font BebasNeue.ttf (this is actual Bebas Neue font with Cyrillic characters) from the ZIP into the sub-folder \skin.aeon.nox.svn\fonts\, overwriting the existing file.

- Copy the font Ubuntu-R.ttf from the sub-folder \skin.aeon.nox.svn\fonts\ elsewhere, rename it to Ubuntu-R_CAPS.ttf and copy it back, overwriting the existing file.

Known issues:

- Grammar disagreement in compound strings "number+word" and "word+word".
- Truncation of some items.
- Several unlocalized strings of unknown origin in some places.

EDIT BN: Added - thx

Currently user CutSickAss edited the BebasNeue font to include Greek characters. Is it possible to combine that with your edited font? That way i can include it in regular update. I know how to edit existing fonts to show uppercase, but not how to add new characters to fonts :o

Sorry, I have absolutely no idea how to work with fonts. I've just googled Bebas Neue Cyrillic font and it seems to work.

Is it possible to show ´`^~ in main menu?

It appears like "MSICA" instead of "MÚSICA"...

vicmanpergar Wrote:Locate the "Languages" directory in the skin, go to "Portuguese" subdirectory and inside there's a strings.xml file, u must open and edit with something like Notepad, or Notepad++

If the directory does not exists, just create it next to all the other languages. For special characters to be shown properly, as far as i know, u must save it in UTF-8, and don´t forget to be sure to save it as .xml (remove the *.txt option, default in Notepad)

Only saw now.. UTF-8 solve it Big Grin

Hey again BN,

...the strangest thing. I just did a clean install of the new EDEN release and then installed NOX through the add-on repo, only to discover that the Icelandic translations have disappeared - the same language strings you so kindly integrated into NOX a few weeks back, and were working fine in pre-Eden.

...any thoughts on what happened?

thanks,
MB
