I would like to stream the media I have on my home computer to my android tablet, is there anyway to do this using xbmc? my home computer has a 15mbit upload connection but my phone only has about 5mbit download, so my download is my limit.
I would like to have 1 program that can stream and lower the bitrate at the same time, but if needed I can setup a seperate program to reencode the files to a lower bitrate. If anyone knows of a program that I might be interested in let me know thanks.

XBMC has limited file sharing abilities using a UPnP server. However, it sounds like you want something to transcode the file first, which XBMC doesn't do.
