This was the most sane way of adding it without messing everything up

Thanks for this! Works great!

Thanks Martijn for the hack. It worked initially but didnt pull the whole set of local logos. I had then changed to the regular AD script. Since I noticed some of the local logos again not picked up I went back to 12.0.9 hack and re ran the script but since then no joy. Any idea.

Hey Martijn just noticed that some movies in my library contained art images for Skyfall eg. logo, clearart, landscape and banner even though I don't have that movie in my collection. I've configured AD to only download logo, clearart, disc, landscape and banner images for movies. The only movies that contained Skyfall artwork were those that were missing logo, clearart, banner or landscape images as they're not available from fanart.tv yet.

It must have occurred after my last bulk run, is this a bug?

I'm running AD v 12.0.10

Are your movies in a single folder and did you had those artwork files local?

No, each movie is in it's own individual folder containing artwork specific to that movie. All artwork are saved locally to individual movie folders.

For the ones who want to use local artwork that doesn't exist on fanart.tv you can use this .zip

This is a total hack and local file won't show in GUI.
Local file will be used in bulk mode even if it doesn't exist on fanart.tv
Try and let me know.

How hack is done (in case script gets updated):
commit

Translations
script is added to Transifex so translations will only be done through there

I wouldn't want to be in your shoes when Martijn sees that log snippet.

Rofl

I could easily tell him that he doesn't need to install that version because it's already in repo Wink

Question,

Is the hack only for movies or applies to Tv shows/Anime also? Im currently trying Frodo out and stubble upon this post thread about local fanart

I use Anidb[Mod] to scrape my Anime and i have some custom logos because Anidb scrapes certain anime that TVDB combines into 1 show (ie: Fate Stay Night) into each there own show. I have setup my Anime to follow Anidb(no season folders because anidb doesnt use them) instead of TVDB because it makes its easier to manage. Here is what one of my local nfo's looks like(exported from Eden):

Code:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" standalone="yes" ?>

In the scraper settings, i have it set to "Store anime ID from AniDB.net" instead of TVDB.com so that i would pick the fanart from there when it scanned a new anime. So would this affect AD using my local logo? If so, what would i need to do to get them to show up. In Eden, i always exported all my artwork every now and again(to individual folders) and store them so that if i need to redo my library, the scan is quick and i get back all my artwork changes i did when i didnt like the default scraped one.

here is a log file: http://pastebin.com/HwegUDnj

Forgot to mention im in Nox 4.0

Is there a chance you could add extrafanart and extrathumbs to GUI mode at this point? I remember when you first developed the script you said you were looking for a way to code it.

@Martijn
The 'use local files' option is just called "-" in the AD settings. Could you update that? If it should be enabled by default, I would suggest to remove that option from the settings completely.

If no one updates transifex there's nothing i can do and it shouldn't be on by default

Ok... then someone (whoever has access there) should update the source file on transifex and change "-" to "Use local files".
