I'm fairly new to XBMC and had a question about running XMBC with multiple HTPC's. Is there a way to setup one copy of XBMC on lets say a server install and have all the settings be pushed out to the other copies or does it not work like this? Just wondering what the most efficient way to setup XBMC with multiple HTPC.

I did happen to read an article about setting up my movie library via mysql and plan to do this firstly.

The settings are stored in a file called guisettings.xml and this is held in your profile directory (see http://wiki.xbmc.org/index.php?title=Profile_Directory for details). There isn't a way to centralise settings. However this isn't usually a problem since the settings don't change much. The data that changes most is the library, and as you've mentioned, you can centralise this using MySQL.

If you get the settings just as you like them on one PC you can copy the settings to the other PCs just by copying the guisettings.xml file.

You answered your own question. Sql shared library and if you want the same exact setting like server shares and other settings then do as jhsrennie suggested.
