I just bought a ATV2, and i need a 2tb NAS.
150 USD - Buffalo LinkStation Live™ - LS-CHL 2TB
170 USD - WD My Book Live 2TB
190 USD - Buffalo LinkStation Pro™ - LS-VL 2TB

Can i use The Buffalo Live to streams video to the ATV2 with XBMC?
In the future with another Settop Box, the Buffalo Live will easily streams 1080 videos?
Worth paying more and buy a WD My Book Live or even a Buffalo Pro?

the WD My Book Live recently had a review over at Anandtech and it was said to be really good so go for that one!

make sure you are connected over LAN that is typically the biggest problem due to bandwidth over air being not so great.

REMEMBER the ATV2 will ONLY output in 720p

the 1080p rips will be displayed but scaled down and if they are highRate rips then they will cause the ATV2 to stutter...

The stutter also applies to MPEG2 rips as they are currently not hardware accelerated like x264 rips etc

hardware wise, its capable of handling 1080P i believe...
but Apple dont want u too i guess....

it's the same reason as to why the iPhone 4 can't handle Siri...

though to be fair they have to sell something "up"...

though theres that graph floating around somewhere from engadget that shows at certain distance you can't tell 720p from 1080p anyway so...
