Graphics Card Ubuntu XBMC
#1
Hi,

I am after a bit of advice regarding choosing a graphics card for an Ubuntu 10.04 XBMC system I am building.

I have read a few threads before writing this but haven't found anything yet, apologies if someone points one out.

I have a budget of approx £70 - £80, I believe the Nvidia range is best supported, I required it to play Blu-Ray DVD's, not too bothered about it being passive as it's going in a rack, but would like a fairly decent card with HDMI which is the norm now I think...

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I can't speak about Linux drivers but you should find they're all well supported

Something like a simple G210 or HD 5450 would easily do the trick. They're GBP 10 used on eBay.co.uk or GBP 25-30 new!

Thanks for the reply, I was just a bit worried about driver issues really, and wondered what everyone else was using.
