great news ... i'm holding my thumbs that it stays stable ... i'll wait for more feedback until tomorrow and will discuss this solution with the other devs ... buildbots are down for eden maintenance though ... so no pressure on that one Smile

So guys - what about that version. Does it still prevent the crash or is it back?

Early indications are good from me as well. As with the build you uploaded before this one: All seems to be working so far. The folder opens, files seems to play OK, and library scanning seems to be going just fine.

edit: scan complete - no problems Smile

ummm... not sure if i'm alone... but i'm not getting video anymore.

i can't see anything that I try to play. and a couple of plugin are not working properly for me anymore.

my music folder is still being scanned. so i will let it finish and do more testing. but as of this moment.
Hulu and YouTube: works, audio but no video
ESPN: doesn't work
personal videos: works, audio but no video

is this because this is not a complete fix? just fixing the id3 tag? should i go back to the latest nightly until this fix gets implemented?
or should everything be working as "normal"?

I don't think this is a general issue with this build. I'm not having any problems with video playback. Both videos over LAN, and streamed from the internet are working OK for me

after further testing:

org.xbmc.xbmc-atv2_10.0-9_iphoneos-arm-id3tag2.deb - video and plugins work! (along with scanning folders)

org.xbmc.xbmc-atv2_10.0-9_iphoneos-arm-id3tag3.deb - video and plugins don't work so well.. audio, but no video... for me.

@procrastinator - just to check... you had success with both versions?

mahhh ... consider this version as testversion only for the id3tag issue please ... seems as this is fixed with that version and i will take care to let that fix flow into the main code ... so better stick with the latest nightly or whatever ... no other bugreports are usefull with my custom builds (buildbot obviously is much better in building deb packages then me Wink )

I only tried an internet-streamed video with "...tag2.deb", but it worked fine. "...tag3.deb" works for everything that I've tried so far

1. Make a new thread (since this is no crash as it seems and maybe unrelated to this).
2. Post a xbmc.log then ...
