Right episode info, wrong show info
#1
Hi,
I have episodes of Life on XBMC (http://thetvdb.com/?tab=series&id=80352&lid=7).

Episode images appear fine (though there is no episode text. However, the actual program info relates to this completely different series (http://thetvdb.com/?tab=series&id=97201&lid=7). I try to manually set the series but for some reason the series I want just does not appear in the list of available options.

Can anyone advise me how to force XBMC to point to a specific series?

TIA.

Based on the lack of comments, am I missing something obvious here, or is this something that just can't be done?

Put a nfo file named tvshow.nfo into your "Life" folder and write down the tvdb link into that nfo. Then rescan and everything should be fine. Delete the DB entrys first of course (remove Life from DB, make sure no other nfos are in your Life folder and perhaps clean library)

Else: If setting manually, try it with "Life (2008)"

Make sure your TV show folder for Life is named "Life (2008)" the year is important.

If this is the case already remove the source (in XBMC), turn on debugging and post the log after trying to scan to Pastebin.

Wonderful, thanks. Looking at the format of the file here it looks epic. Do I need all of this populating, or just a subset?

Thanks again.

Remarkable. Renamed the folder and the automated scan picked it up straight away. Thanks ever so much, so simple when you know how!

When in doubt, go to thetvdb site and see how the episode is named. Name your folders exactly like that.
