Did you configure the WebEPG add-in in the TV Server? I use the IMDB grabber and it works a treat.

Did you get an appropriate IMDB grabber XML file? Maybe IMDB doesn't do Canada, you might nee dto look elsewhere. Check out the Mediaportal forums for an EPG solution.
It does work, you need to set it up in Mediaportal though not XBMC I think. XBMC will import the EPG from the TV Server at bootup and then every so often.
