[lion] nightly builds are not working
#1
Hello here!
Just upgraded to 10.7.2... a lot of bugs with this OS :-( but I've to use it anyway.
I've a trouble with nightly builds: they crash! every time the main menu screen freezes and I've to kill the application, while the stable release works nice.
I don't know how to get a log file in such a condition... can I turn on the log in dharma hoping that this still valid in the unstable version? or can I post the apple log? can it be useful?
best regards

see my sig, use http://www.pastebin.com. xbmc.log and crashreporter logs.

for freezes, use the terminal app, 'top' to find the pid, then kill -6 <pid>. that will force a crashreporter log.

thank you a lot!
sometimes it let me just move the arrow for a second, another time it opened already inside the movie menu... in any case it was always freezed
the stable version instead works (apart the trouble with the audio device that I wrote in another post)

I SOLVED THIS TROUBLE!!!
Quite silly... Lion has the resume function, so in my case a 1:1 substitution of Dharma with the nightly build generates a conflict. It was sufficient to remove the xbmc resume log and also this version loaded correctly.

Good to know! I'll have to note this for the revised Mac FAQ

My hint is to use the software RestoreMeNot
