I like EDEN as a name.
The letters work well together

Yes. Lets start changing the names every year.

Next year we'll have Frodo.

Then G which (following with the trend of fictional places with the exception of Frodo) will be xbmc 13, Gotham.
Code:
GRANT ALL PRIVILEGES ON `xbmc_%`.* TO 'xbmc'@'%';
IF you have a mysql problem, find one of the 4 dozen threads already open.

It's simply XBMC. Why does the name now not fit or why does the name have to somehow have more meaning of what the product is? IMO, there is no reason to rebrand, that is just a tactic in the commercial word to make something seem new and improved (when usually it isn't). XBMC on the other hand is always improving and doesn't need gimmicks to do that.

Or we can make it easier and stop at EDEN then change the number every year Wink

EDEN v12
EDEN v13.....

Eden
• (as noun an Eden) a place or state of great happiness; an unspoiled paradise.

And the code names will be? We'll have Eden Frodo.

Frodo is already on the road map.

Because they've been a part of software development since the beginning.

I think Apple was the first ones to make it eternally popular, actually embracing Tiger, Leopard, SL, Lion. Then Ubuntu. Now it seems like everyone is doing it. Android, XBMC, etc.
