How can I change to YCBCR 4:2:2? I looked through the aticonfig help but didn't find anything.

you can do that in amdcccle, but since xbmc is working with full RGB internally, its not recommended as its just double conversion.

Can amdcccle be opened from the command line? I've tried but just get errors that it can't be opened. Do I have to install something like gnome and open from that desktop?

I don't see a difference between RGB 444 and YCBCR 422, but my main reason for wanting to switch is more about an annoyance when switching between sources(Xbox, PS3, etc). With my set up I have to change my TV's HDMI mode every time I use a different source and come back to XBMC. It's a bit of a PIA if you know what I mean and when using YCBCR I don't have to change anything and the image looks just as good(I've used it with Windows and XBMCbuntu)

Same as 12.6. You do not need to backup and copy control file. It just works ™.

Basically:
stop lightdm
install with --buildandinstallpkg
reissue the aticonfig commands

reboot & fine :-)

Yep, I used your guide and it worked perfectly Smile It didn't help with my resume from suspend issue though Sad

amdcccle just needs X running. if you do it via ssh, you must export the display:
export DISPLAY=:0

Hey guys,
Was out for a while because I moved to OpenELEC (Still sticking to XVBA versions though Smile)
I have a problem on the OE XVBA latest experimental version (Frodo based).
XBMC crash whenever I enable LiveTV on the settings menu with XVDR.
I tried this on a clean XBMC profile with no luck and would greatly appreciate any help.
Thanks

@kobik:
Your log indicates that you have both: vnsi and xvdr installed. Choose one of them. The Crash on startup was fixed for vnsi some month ago by fernetmenta and it is working :-)

Afaik xvdr is not officially (whatever that means) supported - never the less, we want "third party" addons to work flawlessly and have no intention to break them Tongue

Are you sure this is the right pastebin, you linked? I cannot see something obvious, but i am in a hurry right now - check that your OE computer is allowed to connect to xvdr (see the vdr config file).

I have seen your post on the OE forums but I can't help with XVDR. I don't have this kind of problem with VNSI.

EDIT: fritsch was faster Smile

Hmmm, unfortunately VDR on OE comes bundled only with XVDR support Sad
Both VNSI and XVDR addons are installed but only XVDR is enabled and allowed.
Here are fresh logs of both xbmc and messages

Can't nothing be done?
VNSI or XVDR, I don't care which one to use I just want live tv functioning back again Smile
Maybe you could convince OE guys to include VNSI VDR plugin?
Thanks

I'll talk to the OE guys.

EDIT: Why don't you use this build: http://openelec.tv/forum/132-xvba-amd/29...t=80#41930
