![]() i did the whole nes htpc thing despite it already being done. i wanted an htpc/emulation pc for nes/snes. the result after a few hours of dremeling/etc: ![]() ![]() i did this about a year ago i think... ive changed to an SSD since then. for the most part the build was done with stuff i already had laying around aside from the motherboard.. its an asus mobo ion 1.6ghz oc'd only to 1.8. cooling is kind of a pain because the nes doesn't ventilate well itself and i wanted to cut the outside of the case as little as possible. the nes ports are fully functional. they are wired to a raphnet 4snes4nes adapter so can run 4 controllers total in any combination of nes/snes. the great thing about the nes ports is they are 5V and have 2 unused pins which I've wired to D+/D- so with the proper adapter, I can plug a usb device into the nes port or a stock nes controller for emulating. i intend to likely redo another htpc with the nes case but go to likely intel i3 or i5. ion is great, but its dead in the water now for what it can do. and yes, the thing is running xbmc live. used a mgir01bk remote control which i installed into the upper shell. the IR reveiver has a nice little window in the black strip of the nes so its well hidden. iOS XBMC users PLEASE use the advanced search function before starting a new thread. I use a Silverstone LC19.
Everything fits. Zotac-Ion-Mobo. ![]() I have made an extra hole in the top, becaus the fan made to much noise, when it is too near at the case.

I agree this is a great looking case but you really limit yourself with the number of motherboards you can install due to the integrated heatsink. --Dascmo \\ OpenElec \ Frodo \ ASROCK 330HT \\ AEON NOX 4.0 \\ Free Online Storage: Copy ^^HIGHLY RECOMMENDED^^ |

I like this one:
![]() http://www.ms-tech.de/ger/index.php/prod...9/pdid/283 It's made for a mini-itx mainboard with build in power supply (60 watt) and there is no place for a dvd drive .Sadly it is brushed metal. I'm going to powder coat it black. |
