OK here's the executive summary people:
1. Follow the wiki instructions, do NOT install nitotv, and you should be fine.
2. If you've already screwed up, you'll have to re-jailbreak to get it to work.
3. When you get apt-get update, you might get an error with modmyi. Ignore it, it's not necessary for XBMC.
I wasted so many hours of my life figuring that out...

Ok so I got the update to run over ssh using the two commands from the bottom portion of the wiki page and now I went to my apple tv and it was sitting at a blank screen. I rebooted it and it came up wit the apple logo and ten went black and just seems to keep rebooting itself every 30 seconds or so.
What's up wit that?? How do I fix that??

So, it's happened on two different ATV2 so far.. Jailbreak w/ 4.3 Seas0npass. SSH into device, follow instructions on Wiki, by default I always install NitoTV as well for other options, but I'm wondering if that's what's causing the issue or Eden? Basically after I get it all installed and reboot the device, it'll have the Apple splash screen, then it will just stay black. Never get the iTunes menu or anything.. Plug it into computer, TinyUmbrella says it's in recovery, try to exit recovery and it won't. Just sits in recovery, can't get it into DFU mode without kicking it out of recovery so I can restore it back with 4.3 - Anyone else?

In an earlier post, I mentioned uninstalling and reinstalling xbmc through nitoTV. I did the eden install on another one today and I didn't have to uninstall first but I did need to update nitoTV first.
First and foremost, update nitoTV via nitoTV's update option in its Settings. It takes about 5 minutes (be patient) and it'll reboot back to the ATV2 main screen when the update is completed.
Go back into nitoTV and simply install xbmc.
When you select xbmc to be installed, it still shows v10.x.x on the left side, don't worry about it. When you do the install, you'll see the 11.0.1-b1 version. It does take awhile, about 10min for me.
After the install is completed, the ATV2 automatically reboot and takes you back to the ATV2 main screen. Eden is now installed.
I believe my ATV2s are on firmware 4.3.3 and was jb'ed with Seasonpass.

Alright, so there seems to be something just flat out breaking when we try to just update/upgrade all packages. I've updated the Wiki instructions to just say
Code:
apt-get update
apt-get install org.xbmc.xbmc-atv2
Which should upgrade only XBMC. ("apt-get update" won't install anything. That just updates the package list, which is what tells the ATV2 where to "get things", for a lack of better words)
