Linux How to disable Ubuntu Boot Info?
#1
Hi

Screwed up my GRUB so had to reinstall. Before i got it to show only a black screen between Bios Prompt and XBMC launch. Now i got some text lines appearing.

I added "quiet" and "splash" to the GRUB Config but the text does not go away. Any idead?

OS is Ubuntu 10.10 with GRUB2 on the internal HDD.

Tried gfxpayload=text nomodeset and GRUB_TERMINAL=console but the damn text did not hide... all i want is the black screen back without any text.. :-(

Did you make sure to run sudo update-grub after editing the grub config?
