TV Tuner? Internal or External? and how do they play with XBMC?
#1
I have a feeling that TV tuner inside my LCD TV is going bad. I can not come up with another answer for why DTV (HD TV signal from my antenna) sometimes takes an hour or more to come up.... HDMI going from HTPC turn on right away.

Should I get external tv tuner or internal one to be placed inside my HTPC running XBMC?

I am also setting up AV Receiver with 5.1 speaks in couple of days and would love for my tv channels to be in surround sound if possible. I was thinking if by using one of those two options on tv tuners that I can send over tv signal by HDMI to my receiver so it can control all the switching between tv, htpc, dvd etc...

If I get internal tv tuner.... Can I control TV in XBMC now?

Code:

I am interested in this one more because of those two tuner ports. Hopefully I will able to use one for my antenna and another for line coming from cable tv.
