You guys would recommend going with iGPU over a discrete GPU card?
With your insurance money, I recommend the beast (AMD A8-3870). The HD6550D in it is equivalent to a discrete GPU ( AMD HD6570 to be exact). HD6550D can be used for crossfire too. I doubt that you need to crossfire it for HTPC purpose. You'll be very happy with A8-3870. Smile

EDIT: drat, beaten!

I've chose Cat5e because it was cheaper and have no need for Cat6. My downloading and transfers occur on the same box. Streaming... won't need more than 100mbps.

Plus, the highest internet line available in my area is TimeWarner at 15mbps lol. Beyond that, I think COX Cable has one of the highest speeds at (50mbps) but they're a few cities over. Maybe in 5 years we'll be able to succeed the 100mbps connection in standard homes around my area. Until then, I'm hoping the world doesn't end on Dec 21st and then I get my ungodly speeds.

The AsRock in my post #49 will allow you to turn on/off HTPC using MCE IR/Remote from cold start. This is a very good option to have for HTPC. Smile

Cool. How can you tell if a motherboard has this ability? I was looking for a mobo with 6 sata connections.

AsRock A75M included this option (Supports On/Off Play Technology). It'll allow you to connect USB IR to one of the rear USB port to turn on/off HTPC with MCE remote. Here is the complete spec on it- AsRock A75M.
