[Discontinued] NHL Gamecenter Addon
(2013-01-19, 22:19)MaximumFish Wrote: I'm watching the pre-game live streams here on my laptop but XBMC is just telling me the stream is not available (and then eventually crashing but we'll get back to that another time). Is anybody else getting the same?

Oh and now the script is just failing when selecting the Live category.

yup, thats i am getting. First said: "stream not available" for all live games. Now when i try to go into the "live" folder it sayd that the gamecenter.py just fails.

Note: I can watch on my desktop via browser.

There seem to be major problems even with official apps. The Xbox app doesn't work at all, the iPad app shows the wrong game (L.A. vs. Chicago) and so does the website.

The live.xml that the addon downloads doesn't show the links as it used to. Hope they show up later but it doesn look good for live games in XBMC.

The website works again but the iPad and Xbox apps still don't. Until there is lower the demand you have to use the website.

Website is bogged down, can't connect.

So the addon is fine, its just purely the network demand that causing these issues?

Yes, the "script failed" is likely to be caused by network demand issues. But the live.xml didn't contain any links when it still worked. Maybe we have to find a new way to play the livestreams.

gotcha, sorry just reread your earlier posts.

Dont know if you noticed but between 2:30pm-2:55pm i could browse the "live" directory and saw all the games scheduled for today listed. when i selected the streams it said: "stream unavailable" presumably because it was before the scheduled time. After 3pm, it started to fail all together, so maybe the NHL guys just removed the links to the live games due to high demand?

I subscribed to Xbox Live just to use that instead but of course it wouldn't connect! Waste of money that was.

The website was working until I closed it to try and fix a framerate issue and now it won't load back up! Argh.

The addon works again!

Yes it does, but it's buffer-tastic. The website at least seems to be able to keep up, dropping frames where it needs to instead of buffering.

amazing! all is good in the world...now lets hope UnoDNS is able to get me around the regional blackout for the Leafs game and ill be happy Smile

to be honest, i have zero buffering issues. running PIT vs. PHI on my HTPC (XBMC) and LAK vs. CHI on my desktop pc

haven't noticed it skip frames yet...3000kbps on all 3 streams.

I didn't buffer once since I started the stream (about 30mins).

Edit:
It's currently only possible to watch 720p streams because the links have been changed slightly. If your internet connection is fast enough this should not be a problem.
