That's a good find eSkro, but I have no clue what brand and model of the fanless CPU cooler and for what CPU/mobo. Do you know?

It's a Silverstone NT01-E CPU heatsink.

Thanks guy....I didn't pay attention to description. My eyes were on the video the whole time! Smile

It'll be an issue for me though...because it will not work with a BD-ROM in it.

It might fit on the 65W FM1 APU (A6-3500, A6-3600, A8-3800, etc) for none BD-ROM user too- SILVERSTONE NT01-E.

maybe there's BD-ROMs that aren't too deep.... hmm,,,

I never see one, and I don't want to toss out the existing one either! Smile

Now, I'm wondering if that fanless Silverstone CPU cooler will work with AMD Trinity and the Silverstone Sugo SG06B. It'll be sweet! Smile

wonder if the Silverstone NT01-E cooler would fit in the Rosewill RS-MI-01 BK Mini ITX case...

compared to the MI-008/100, this version is 1.20" deeper...

not alot, but maybe the kick it needs to fit a bd-rom... hmm....

ok, it might be tight or simply not possible in the Rosewill RS-MI-01 BK case...
again, maybe if we can find a 'less deeper' bd-rom, it could work!
i'll study this a little bit more...

that being said, i believe this works!
case: THERMALTAKE ELEMENT Q
bd-rom: SAMSUNG 12X
video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cnkrD_UJCko

weird thing is,
both of these cases have the same dimensions....
its the bd-rom that seems 'less deeper' on the thermaltake element Q case...
but thats impossible because its the same BD-ROM on both builds if u watch the video...
meaning, thermaltake element Q case must be deeper then the Rosewill one....
impossible again since both are 13" deep...
hmmm,,, WTF?

EDIT:
------
i think that yes, both cases are the same exact size but,
for some reason, the BD-ROMs the guy used are different..
i checked on SAMSUNG's website and, depending on the model#
some are 170mm deep, and some are 184mm deep.
which means, he may have used 1 of each in his video.
actually, im pretty sure thats what it is...

SAMSUNG SH-B123 --> 170mm
SAMSUNG SH-B083 --> 184mm

** now checking if LG BD-ROMs are less deeper then 170mm Tongue

LG BH12LS35 --> 172mm
LG CH12LS28 --> 172mm
LG BH10LS30 --> 172mm
LG BH10LS20 --> 172mm

after all of that, im pretty positive that this combination works!

Thermaltake Element Q / Rosewill RS-MI-01 BK
+
Silverstone NT01-E
+
SAMSUNG SH-B123

FTW Smile

With the length of BD-ROM and the connections behind it, I highly doubt that it have enough room for Silverstone NT01-E heat sink!

I hope that somebody can try it, and prove me wrong on this!

If I understand it correctly the Silverstone GD04/GD05 can also handle this cooler:

Quote:Due to the case's depth, the optical drive overhangs the CPU socket, so a low profile cooler like the Scythe Big Shuriken is optimal. Alternatives include the Nexus Low-7000 and the Silverstone NT01-E which they claim can run passively when paired with a 65W CPU in the GD04/05.

i think it should fit. just use 90 degree cables!

Anyone try this out with an A6-3500? I'm very curious how good a job it does compared to the stock AMD cooler. I'm not running an optical drive, and have gone picoPSU, but I'd like to remove the CPU fan as well if I can get away with it.

I have used that cooler and the build quality is pretty bad. Its not copper but colored like copper.

It was made for the GD04/05 and I have used it in that case so I can 100% confirm that it fits.
