First of all bear with me - I'm not really a programmer.
I've been looking at using an XBMC remote app, for either Android or Windows phone, to control an XBMC instance that I'd like to be headless - ie no monitor.
An important feature of this will be selecting radio stations served up from a DVBViewer recording service via UPnP.
No remote I've seen yet does this and I've had a search around and it seems possible like the current API doesn't support it.
But I also read that you're developing a new remote using a new API.
So the question is - does the new remote / API combination support such things as selecting from UPnP sources?
Thanks!
UPnP sources?

Generic uPnP sources, no. Plug-ins running in XBMC that use uPnP sources, probably.
Running XBMC on my HTPC, tablet, phone and pinball machine. Always read the XBMC online-manual, FAQ and search the forums before posting. Do NOT e-mail Team-XBMC members asking for support. For troubleshooting and bug reporting, make sure you read this first. |
