How do I disable clearart?

Is there a way to disable the clearart that appears in the lower left of the Pause screen?

I've tried replacing the image with a transparent .PNG file, but that does not work. Is there really no way of getting rid of the clearart in the pause screen.

It just looks a little crowded to me.
