I've seen a few cases where the add-ons database has become corrupt. In that case it can be fixed simply by deleting the add-ons database. Find your userdata folder (
http://wiki.xbmc.org/?title=Userdata) and in the Database folder delete AddonsXX.db where XX will be some number, or blank, depending on which version of XBMC you're using.
