Live TV Picture Quality
#1
I am using XBMC RC 1 on windows 7 32bit. I installed the PVR component for Mediaportal TV Server and it works fine but I notice a major difference in picture quality between Live TV in XBMC and when I watch the same Live TV feed via WMC. Is this a known issue or is there something I need to tweak?

I'm sure you might need more info so let me know what I need to add to this thread. By the way, I am using an HDHomerun Dual Tuner for live TV OTA.

I guess I should describe the difference in picture quality too. In WMC I get a solid picture that looks good with very little banding if any even during fast moving action. When I use Mediaportal TV Server via XBMC I see a lot of banding of the image during the slightest movement. If the objects in the picture stand still it is a solid picture that looks good but if somebody walks across the screen there is banding.

Sounds like you have not enabled deinterlacing. Enable dxva and check the different settings for deinterlacing.
