Hi,
I have been pondering this question for quite a while now, but since I am building a second HTPC now it is very important again:
The problem is this: I use a Philips Prestigo Universal Remote and an IR receiver (used to be a Soundgraph iMon, now is a flirc)
This all works very well, the only "problem" I am having:
Is there a more or less standard way which remote buttons are used in XBMC and what they are used for? As I understand it XBMC understands all commands from an MCE remote, which is the one I would emulate using the universal remote. All I need would be an overview which buttons would do what if I bought an MCE.
flirc does have an XBMC preset which lacks a lot of the functionality needed though I think (context menus etc), I would use the full keyboard mode to program XBMC functionality...all I am searching for is a "standard" way of mapping the buttons to the functions.
I would then proceed to rename the virtual MCE buttons according to their XBMC functions but that is another step...
