I've had a quick look at the log file. There might be a small problem with the error handling through one code pathway that the HDPVR might be triggering.

Are you able to compile XBMC in order to test if the fix does in fact work?

Creating a trac ticket would be great so this doesn't get lost.

Use MythTV for recording TV? Try the integrated MythTV support in XBMC Media Center. Now with commercial skip support built-in and integration with the Movie database!

I just saw the post!

Yep, I'm compiling in openelec so if I can get access to a patch I can roll that right in, done it beforeSmile

What do you have in mind?

This ticket contains a patch that may work for you. http://trac.xbmc.org/ticket/11082

This change hasn't been rolled into XBMC yet as I was hoping there might be a solution that doesn't require polling the mythconverg database. There might yet be but I haven't had time to check the data and I don't have a USB tuner to test.

If you could post a full debug log that shows the problem you are currently experiencing that might be enough for me to see if the change is feasible by listening to the live tv chain update messages that mythbackend sends back.

Ok dtierney. I'll compile a build tonight.

Which patch though?

I'd need it in patch format similar to this https://github.com/xbmc/xbmc/commit/5914...26f0.patch
