Mind you, I would trust davilla's advice implicitly. But this is something simple to try, at least, before you go the downgrade route.

I've heard of some people having issues with WinSCP now and again. You might want to try Filezilla or PuTTy. I actually am cringing writing this, since this is about the 5th or 6th thing I've suggested to try and the rest haven't solved your problem, but I throw it out there for your consideration

davilla Wrote:Backup one version of SeasonPass and try that. This sounds like a jailbreak issues or something with the cydia bits that are installed. I'm not sure how to go about this. Anyone have any pointers ? |

For those who are a little adventurous look into rsync. I use it to back up my XBMC directory to my NAS on a daily basis.
apt-get install rsync will put it on your ATV then you just need it on your target device. A standard rsync command would then be: Quote:rsync -avz --delete /private/var/mobile/Library/Preferences/XBMC/ user@target_ip:/backup/path/XBMC/ |

Doesn't rsync need to be installed both ends ?
This is interesting, I was going to try sftp or sshfs the uncompressed folder to my linux box and tar once transferred. I suppose rsync would be more efficient. However if this works it still means there's a bug somewhere. |

That's now all I can do on this for a little while. Off on holiday for the best part of the next four weeks. Unless someone else figures this out while I'm away I'll get back on it when I'm back.
Thanks for all your input ... so far |

Hi, are you using firecore? If so I honestly don't know if this will help you, a mate of mine has sorted me an atv2 (jb) box and I've had the same problem regarding working wireless but not with ethernet cable, it just freezes at start up, no tiles come up and unable to do anything with it. Anyway just found out there's a new firecore update come out today 08/02/2012, its been installed and hey presto works like a dream.
Hope this helps someone. |

It would be a re-jailbreak I assume. I am also having the same problem reported here but not even with moving files. When I use Transmission on the ATV2 it also has the same problem.

DiQ23 Wrote:How would I go about this ? I did a re-jailbreak and re-install after I backed up my XBMC settings as outlined in the FAQ (above) with the following 'extra': I used SFTP with FileZilla, set it down to one file at a time, and set a speed limit... The new version (seas0npass was dated January 24th in the zip file) seemed to do the trick for me. I can now upload and download to the ATV2 without problems even with no speed limit and multiple streams. Good Luck... DC |
