Does anybody know what "file" protocol is the best when streaming from a NAS to XBMC?

My NAS supports eg. SMB/CIFS, AFP, NFS and naturally also ReadyDLNA but which is the fastest?

Which protocol is using the least CPU on the NAS and on the ATV?

What other differences are there between these that are worth considering when choosing how to add and use the Media on XBMC on an ATV?
