queeup: you can get hulu accounts free. I don't see why you couldn't make one.
locomot1f: seems to be a permission issue.
Timbo1980: the rtmp server is denying your connection "Access denied!". nothing you can do.

Bluecop, just a quick question. Sometimes I have to go into the plugin itself before I can play an item from my library. I'm guessing this is because I"m not logged in. What my quesiton is, is if this was due to the plugin being updated? I know you are doing fairly quick releases and I only get this when I start up xbmc (which is when plugins update). So I was thinking the cache folder is getting wiped and then recreated without the token.xml in the cache folder.
Another question, Once the updates stop rolling out so fast, will I still be required to log in via the plugin, or will the token.xml keep my logged in for longer period of time? Also, would it be possible to try and log in before playing the video from the library?
Ok, more than one question, but at least it's one topic.
Thanks again for this plugin. If you have a "donation" paypal let me know and I'll donate. Hulu should pay you as well. I only turned back on hulu plus because of this plugin. I had it turned off for over 6 months prior since I wouldn't use it without being able to use it directly in XBMC.

sirmeili: I can move the token to the addon_settings to keep it persistent between updates.
I wrote a fix for the problem you describe. It only tried to login and get a token when launching the root listing of the plugin. It will now always try to login if the login is enabled and the tokenfile doesn't exist. So if it is missing it will go ahead and grab one.
I haven't committed this yet. I am separating some of the ads, subtitle and playback code. It should be easier to understand and more modular. They will be easier to use in other things when I am finished.
The token file has an expiration that is checked on load and it will get a new one if expired.

It is not working for me. I click to play a show and it plays a 30-second ad, then it closes the stream. Also, the ad is just audio, no video.

rcrh: he is using dharma with an old librtmp. I already know the problem. It is listed as a question in the first post.
If anyone wants help then they should post logs. this is also listed in the first post.

I just figured that out. I downloaded XBMC just like a week ago so I thought I had the latest. Downloading Eden 2 now...just hope this doesn't mess up my other add-ons.

cordcuttingdave: if you copy the librtmp.dll from your eden install to replace the one with dharma then it will work. If you want to keep using Dharma.
