most 3d movies are SBS (side by side), the problem with using xbmc for playback arises when you need to put the display in SBS mode but still need to see the menu in 2d to select, then it needs to switch to 3d for playback. what is intended for 3d tv and content support? now to browse, one has to change the tv to 2d to use the guide and menu, then back to 3d to view the playing content.
