OK. So I tried going direct from HTPC to HDTV and I still don't have the option for Just Scan. Still just 16x9 or 4x3. Other devices (Dish Network and Roku) have the options for Just Scan though. So it must be some setting in the vid card it seems.

Now under vid card control panel (ATI) I have options under My Digital Flat Panels of:
1) Properties (which lists stuff about GPU Scaling and Enable ITC processing.
2) Scaling Options (has stuff about Overscan and Underscan via a slider. I can't move the slider. There also an option checkbox for "Use the scaling values instead of the customized settings.
3) LCD Overdrive (checkbox to enable LCD Overdrive)

Anyway hat's all I can think of to try. Yet anything I change does not change the aspect options to include Just Scan.
