Is there anyway to scrape only missing information? Right now I manage my library with Media Companion and .nfo files. I don't want XBMC to mess with what I have but I would like it to fill in any holes there might be, specifically with trailers. For some reason Media Companion isn't finding trailers that I know exist. Is there anyway I could find the trailer urls without messing with everything else?

You need a mixed nfo for this - i.e. the URL tacked on to the bottom of the XML - see the wiki for more detail.

I added the url at the bottom but it still didn't fill in the missing information. I read the wiki and can't figure it out...sorry.
