XBMC remote android question

Is it possible to access radio stations with xbmc android remote app from your android? Without xbmc being in view?

Im looking at getting an android.

If you put the URL of your internet radio station in a text file and save it as .m3u you can open the stream in 'file mode'.

If you just want to play a radio stream on your Android device without using XBMC, it's easier to use an app for this.
