I was wondering if there was a way I can develop custom library filters for XBMC.

I am having some problems with getting all of my albums grouped correctly in each of the different music library filters (album, artist, year, genre, etc).

I would like to create a new filter that filters by album artist then year then album... Is this possible?

I do not want to create intelligent playlists as I believe that this is just side stepping the issue.

If I cannot do the above, is there a workaround that I can do to fix this problem?

Any helpful links / advice is welcome.
