Will multiple XBMC clients share the same thumbnails even if they are not using MySQL?

I have multiple family members with ATV2s. I want to use pathsubs for thumbnails as the space on the ATV2 is not enough.
However, people want their own watched and resume times so this just about rules out MySQL.
I don't mind this as I can simply send a command to all the clients with sickbeard whenever I add shows.

I would simply test this, however, currently my entire family is now addicted to the future of TV and I am hesitant to disturb them with messing around with stuff.

Pathsubs for thumbnails is a totally independent of MySQL.

excellent. thank you. Did not want to have a bunch of repeated thumbnails from different XBMC clients.
Thought maybe something to do with the naming of the thumbnail files would be in the database data.
