I have eden beta 1 with the night skin and every time i play a movie from my movie library, xbmc crashes and goes out to the main appletv menu.
what weird is if i play the movie by going into files , it will play. and if i go into the hd movies area of the night skin it plays fine.
i noticed thatwhen i was in debug mode, if i gointo themovie library the cpu jumps from 66% up to 96%.
the debug log can be found here:
http://pastebin.com/tBGhi6Sn
any ideas what the problem might be?

You might try switching to Confluence skin and testing. Might be the skin.

If xbmc crashes back to lowtide then you should provide a crashdump and syslog.
Also - update to beta 2. It is less "crashy". HOW-TO post about a XBMC for iOS problem (AKA YOU MUST POST XBMC.LOG SO WE CAN HELP) I bet you can't read the FAQ |

thanks - i didnt see that in the signature at first
![]() so i looked for a crashreporter log and the most recent one is AppleTV_2012-01-23... so it seems that there was no crashreport for the crashed I experienced last night. I also just looked at the syslog and the latest entries are form Jan 23rd. so nothign from last night. seems weird. I posted both of them anyway in case it helps... The syslog was actually huge so pastebin wouldnt let me paste the whole thing in there. All i could get to fit were the entries from Jan 23rd. they can be found here: http://pastebin.com/pgyFT18G the crashreport from jan 23rd can be found here: http://pastebin.com/zyTh52QK hopefully this helps - let me know if you are able to find anything. |
