xbmc very slow after watching a movie
#1
I have a multiroom setup. 3 pc and one apple tv 4 all running eden beta 2. One of the pcConfused, a mac mini running windows 7 64 bit, is having trouble with accessing tv shows, movies and files. Usually the pc works ok when I use it from a fresh boot. So I thought it had to do with power settings. Changed a lot of parameters, didn’t help. Then I thought it had to do with accessing the files on the network share (I still think this is the issue) but I have not come up with any solution that works.

I need help with this one. Any ideas. Anybody else that have same problem

I don't have 4 systems running XBMC, so I can't offer much but a few links.

If running XBMC and local media runs fine, then by implication.. the net is were you need to look. Perhaps a post in the HTPC might catch the eyes of some of the other guys with multi setups.

I have already done all that. The database works fine on all 4 units. I get thumbnails and fanart on all pc so that works.
It is just with one computer I have problem. The other works super.

It is a new mini mac i5 with 4gb memory and a 500 gb hdd. When I am running mac os lion then xbmc works perfectly. But if I switch over to windows 7 (with bootcamp) then I have the freezing problem. I reinstalled windows 7 from scratch, put on vlc, winrar, Microsoft security essentials and xbmc. Updated the system with latest patches. I have this even if I go in to look at files under video. My guess is that this had to do something with access to the network.
If I access the file share in windows it works fine it is just in xbmc this happens.

So again anybody ells have problem with file access in xbmc or now any other tricks I can try.
