Calling all YouTube tutorials! The XBMC Wiki now supports embedded youtube videos. There's a ton of great videos out there, so now we just need help collecting links and sorting them out! Post your favorite help videos, or make one yourself!
If anyone wants to go and embed a video on the wiki, just use the tag:
where ID = the ID portion of the YouTube url.
If you have some good video links, but are not sure where to put them, then just post the URL in this thread!
Here's an example:
http://wiki.xbmc.org/index.php?title=Raspberry_Pi
The tag is {{YouTube|4NR57ELY28s}} and the URL it came from is
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4NR57ELY28s

Enable XBMC Debug logging
Sorry I took the easy way out adding the link here...
It's all good. It's probably best that they get collected here first and see what we have and where we want to go with it. Too many videos could be a problem, or maybe certain videos are more fitting for certain topics, etc.

Makes good sense. The one posted above shows how to copy the log to pastebin as well, and it does get repetitive explaining how.
System: XBMC HTPC with HDMI WASAPI & AudioEngine - Denon AVR-3808CI - Denon DVD-5900 Universal Player - Denon DCM-27 CD-Changer
- Sony BDP-S580 Blu-Ray - X-Box 360 - Android tablet wireless remote - 7.1 Streem/Axiom/Velodyne Surround System
If I have been able to help feel free to add to my reputation +/- below - thanks!

Ability to embed YouTube videos in forum post?
Not really my area, but I assume anything like that would be after we move to new forum software (something that's been planned for a while, but just needs some time to hammer out).

Here's two I found that weren't too bad, but I'm realizing that for general XBMC stuff we have almost nothing that reflects XBMC v11:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fXS933EECQU
Still, there should be tons of stuff out there for more specific things that aren't outdated, like adding media, sharing files on specific operating systems, videos for media managers, videos showing off skins, videos showing off add-ons, etc.
Also, it should go without saying, but we can't use the videos that also tell people how to set up icefilms..

Scraping and naming conventions seem to be repeat offenders if someone has a vidcam....

We can also use non-instructional videos, such as videos that simply show off skins or add-ons.

not sure where to throw this one, but we do get a lot of "how do I share files over the internet" posts:

Seems the forums also have a youtube embedding feature (with other sites as well). Just check out the TV icon just above the posting text box.
