xmbc video screen rebooting

hi there
please can anyone help me. all has been fine untill today as soon as i click on xmbc it starts scanning finishes. and then reboots back to the main screen
please help

We need to see a debug log (http://wiki.xbmc.org/index.php?title=Log_File) to find out what's going on. From your brief description I'd guess that something in the scan is crashing XBMC.

hi there
just thought i would let you know that this problem went away on its own
(for now ) .i ended up switching everything off .i turned off internet pulled out all the plugs , and some how when i switched it back on . it was ok again, was this sheer fluke do you think .. i will keep you posted
