How come all of a sudden when I pause a movie on xbmc for a bit like 2 mins until screen saver comes on I used to be able just to unpause it like normal, but now it goes directly back to my movie directory stopping the move all together? If I locate the movie in the directory again and click it, I can resume were it left off but I know it should just unpause like normal when clicked.

Please enable debug logging from System settings, System, Debugging, then restart XBMC (so debugging is on from the start) and reproduce the problem. Post the complete log file not just an extract.

Here's the log with debugging on.

It only happens if you keep it paused long enough that the screensaver comes on. Then you try to go and unpause the movie but after the screensaver turns off you go back to the main menu.

I've left a blank line where there's a 60 second gap, i.e. from 12:46:41 to 12:47:41, and I assume this is where the screen saver cut in. The odd thing is that XBMC immediately stopped the playback. It doesn't look as if it was waking from the saver that caused the problem, it looks as if playback stopped as soon as the saver cut in.

What saver are you using? Also, does this happen for all films? I wonder if there is a "stop playback on screen saver" setting somewhere, but I had a quick look and couldn't find anything.

Its the standard one that plays your movie posters. Yes it will do it on all movies. Hmmm
