nOOb Basic AMD A8 APU Questions

Hi, I am thinking about building another HTPC using the amd A8-3870K apu...
Couple of general q's

1. It comes with the fan, do I need to buy thermal grease seperate (i've watched some YouTube unboxing videos and didn't see it come with it)

2. Can I get a full size (or a mid) ATX case and put a micro atx Mobo in it? Or do i need a micro-atx case.

I have just bought a A8-3870K (great chip), it does come with a Fan & heatsink and it does have thermal grease on the base of the heatsink.
