Hi, not sure if this is a bug, but ive only noticed this happens with beta 3, didnt happen with previous betas. When im playing a song and press pause, as soon as i press pause, theres a small blip in the music, like its pausing, but it doesnt it just skips a bit, but then the music plays again for a second or two, and then it pauses. So it doesnt immediately pause like its supposed to on pressing the button. Ive tried this about 2 dozen times to make sure its not something temporary and it definitely seems consistent. On resuming play theres no odd behaviour as such it plays like its supposed to.

I was going to post a log but its obvious thats not what the devs need. i'm now looking into arranging hookers who bring the devs a 24 pack of beer and a bundle of cash.

would you make sure you print your debug log and send it with the beer and cash, that way we can look at it while getting sober

Not sure how widespread this bug is, or how seriously it is being treated, but I have exactly the same problem. Also, intermittently, there is a glitch in the playback of audio files, whereby a short burst of static (~half a second) sometimes intervenes in the transition between files. I'm using cross fading set at 5 seconds, if that makes a difference.
Mac OSX 10.6.8, Mac Mini mid-2010. Eden 11.0 final, using SPDIF Out. These issues were also there in RC2, but definitely not in Dharma. |

I have this problem as well. After some testing it isn't quite as bad if you pause it soon (within 1-2 seconds) after starting the song.
I also noticed also doesn't happen as much (but still does happen) using stereo out (3.5mm to red/white RCA). I'm on a Mac Mini Early 2009, running OS X 10.6.8 and XBMC 11.0. |
