Music Compilations & Soundtracks Help

Last night i put some soundtracks and compilations into my music folder but all the artists are showing up in my artist list when i don't want them to. I have include artists that only appear on compilations unticked. I want the soundtracks & compilations to appear in the compilations list only. Can this be done and if so how, i'm new to all this.

Check the tags for those files - foobar2000 is a good app for this if you're on windows.

Yes thanks for that, still getting to grips with the htpc and making sure the tags are right. Loving xbmc, its great how it intergrates everything. Pitymost of my albums i listen to are not mainstream music so the fanart is so hard to find. The scrapers never seem to find aor rock i listen too.
