Disable weather info in furniture

I wish I could remove the weather icon, temperature and humidity from the furniture on the start screen.

I have tried disable "weather info" in preferences, and also removed the weather entry from the main menu. Parts of it is still there when I do this, for example the Celcius indicator and a pipe character.

Read somewhere that disabling the weather plugin in XBMC should remove it, but I can't disable it it, "DISABLE" is greyed out.
