XBMCbuntu playback

I have installed XBMCbuntu beta3. My htpc config is:

cpu intel e4500 2.2
motherboard asus 775
zotac nvidia gt430
ram 2gb ddr2

the problem is that i dont have smooth playback and when i choose adjust refresh rate to display i get black screen.sound i have though. htpc is connect with hdmi to denon 2310 my T.V is Panasonic TH42PX80

is there any more info i can provide to solve this problem...with openelec i didnt have this problem but i dont want to use it for other reasons
