XBMC doesn't play GoPro videos right

I have a GoPro Hero and have some videos in 1080p 30fps. XBMC plays them but every couple of seconds the playback jerks ahead, slows, jerks ahead, etc

The playback speed isn't constant is a better way of saying it. The format is MP4.

Is there any other info I can provide to help?

My gopro (720p 30 frames a second) footage has the same problem. Did you ever find a solution to this problem?
