I'm running XBMC on a windows XP system.

Intel Core 2 Duo
E7300 @ 2.66Ghz
2.67Ghz 1.75gb RAM

I tried to install the add-ons like XBMC Flicks - Netflix for XMBC

It starts to show me the download % and it always stops at 1% and never downloads or installs

I have this problem with every add-on. Is there a link I can install them from a zip file since trying to run git on windows is too complex for me.

Looks to me like you have no internet access from your XBMC box (weather also failed to download). Check your network.

I do have internet access. I didn't have any problems connecting to Google or any other site. It's just XBMC that won't connect.

XBMC will also connect to my NAS drive to load libraries and such. It just won't download the add-ons.

Check you don't have a proxy set in XBMC. Basically, until you get the weather coming up, nothing internet related will function.

i posted the log part when i pressed to download/install the add-on.
and yes the internet connection is working beeing that the same machine was downloading some stuff in the back ground.

i you want the complete debug tell me and i will redo it.

Always full debug log please even if we don't find anything in it Rolleyes

But if the weather fails too something else is wrong with network connection. Do you have more than one active network adapters?

Got that working. Thank you. Now that it's working I realize this is not the kind of program I'm looking for. I'm looking for a media server I can access from the internet. I do a lot of traveling and want to access my media collection from wherever I happen to be.

But I will keep this one for when I'm at home. It has been the best one to work on my TV.

I had the Use Proxy set and didn't realize it. So I turned it off and restarted. That cleared it up nicely and now it's working great.
