Actually the artist and song name both don't display correctly sometimes. Like right now I'm getting "ÿþA - ÿþE". Sometimes I get a "ÿþB".
I tried to install with all language packs, but that didn't work. I was just too late to check with Winamp and see if the title shows up using that. Anyone else had display errors?
I use Icecast for Eden B3, some titles display as "ÿþE"

Alright, had a chance to load up Winamp when I saw "ÿþU - ÿþO". And it also showed up there too. So apparently XBMC and Icecast are doing their job.

Hi,
It is not uncommon to get screwed UTF-8 (either double-encoded or screwed in some other way) from the Icecast server. However, it is not their fault as they merely relay what they get from the streaming client. So, there is little one can do (however, the Icecast add-on does a little - like fining HTML-encoded characters and other little tricks). You can learn more on this issue here: http://bilbo.online.bg/~assen/icecast-addon/unicode.htm WWell, |
