HDMI and Headphone Output possible?
#1
Hey all here Huh
I connect my HDMI via an AV receiver to my TV, Sound even DTS works like a charm.

I am just wondering if it is possible to output parallel the Sound to HDMI and to headphones via the green 3,5mm plugin.

I tried windows audio settings (win7 x64) as well the audio settings in xbmc eden RC1, but could not get my headphones to work Sad

Only thing i got to work is to hear the windows sounds through my headphones.

If anyone got both ouput working, please be so kind and tell me your settings..

Many thanks in advance for any help out of that!

kindest regards,
cheers

Hi there - use a mic jack adaptor and plug into the headphone jack on the receiver. Stock XBMC does not output audio to two sources, unless you use the DualAudio patch (search forum).
System: XBMC HTPC with HDMI WASAPI & AudioEngine - Denon  AVR-3808CI  - Denon DVD-5900 Universal Player  - Denon DCM-27 CD-Changer
- Sony BDP-S580 Blu-Ray  - X-Box 360  - Android tablet wireless remote - 7.1 Streem/Axiom/Velodyne Surround System
If I have been able to help feel free to add to my reputation +/- below - thanks!

Thank you Damian,
I dont want to plugin the headphones to the reciever, cause it only support oneway output :-(

Nevermind, thanks for that DualAudio patch, will check it and tell you.

For others who want that too:

EDIT: pitty, seems that this patch will not work in eden..
