I've had problems using "Adjust display refresh rate to match video" with my last 2 nvidia cards. Always with 24p content playing like it was 5 fps. Using some custom settings (video adjust freshrate fpsmin/max etc..) I was able to get it work intermittently but never consistently. I'm running Win7 64 bit.
So not having it work properly for 24p, I didn't adjust to match video and just had it run at 60hz to my bravia. Yeah, sometimes it would be a little choppy (I run motion flow at 120hz) but it was pretty good.. not nearly as good as 120hz motion flow when its outputting at 24p.
I've searched for hours many different times to find a solution.. and I found it today.. here:

Find xbmc.exe in windows explorer, go to properties, disable desktop composition. (Set it to run as administrator too for good measure)..
Now.. 24p on my Nvidia GTS 450 looks works perfectly. Silky smooth
